When Bill first entered State service, he worked as a Mental Hygiene Therapy Aide for the Office of Mental Health for 4 years while he attended college to obtain his R.N. through the NYS Tuition Reimbursement Program. For 9 additional years, he worked with acute and chronic mental health clients in both in-patient and out-patient settings. Additionally, he worked as an R.N. in a number of clinical settings in the private sector. These included ICU, NICU, mental health residential children's units and industrial nursing in the automotive industry. Additionally, Bill was Health Director of a children's outdoor summer camp for 12 years, working summers during his vacation time from the State. Bill transferred his skills and experience to the Office of Temporary and Disability Assistance where he worked as a Hearing Officer and Disability Analyst reviewing Social Security Disability claims for approximately 5 years.
Bill currently works for NYS Office of Children & Family Services and has been with this agency for the past 17 years. As a Daycare Inspector and R.N., he regulates the Daycare programs and assures the health and safety of children.

Bill has had extensive experience in both his state career and his service to PEF and PEF's members, and he will continue to serve when elected as PEF Secretary Treasurer. His goal, when elected, is to listen to all PEF members and give them a voice as we work together to keep our union strong and restore unity and integrity within PEF.
